Beauty Wishlist

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to be doing a wishlist on the beauty things I want. Most of the stuff is drugstore (Superdrug) but there is a few other things I would like.

I will be doing a fashion wishlist some time soon so request some shops in the comments below!

Superdrug

Zoella Blissful Mistful 45ml £8.00

 

As you probably know, I'm a fan of Zoella (a fashion and beauty YouTuber in case you've been living under a rock) and I already have the Just Say Yes makeup bag which I use for my pencil case. I've wanted to try another thing from the line and this is the thing I most want to try. I might try the Fizz Bar (a bath bomb in a bar and you break pieces off each time) but not yet.

 

Rimmel Wake Me Up Make Up Foundation True Ivory 103 £8.99 £5.99

I've tried the matching concealer and it was really good and now I want to try the foundation but I have really high expectations. I haven't tried many face products before (only 1 foundation) so I want to try more. Currently at Superdrug, you can save up to £3 on selected Rimmel products!

 

Rimmel Kate Lipstick Shade 3 £5.49

I don't really wear nude lipstick but it would be great to have one in my collection. If I had one, I would have one from the Kate Moss collection at Rimmel because I've heard such great things about the lipsticks and Zoella loves the red one! There is so many nude lipsticks I could've gone for but this is the lucky one!

 

Barry M Lipstick in Pillar Box Red £4.49

This red lipstick looks so gorgeous! I love red lipstick as it's really glamorous and it can pull a outfit together. I really like red lipstick on myself because it goes really well with my skin tone and my hair colour. I chose this one from Barry M because it looks so pigmented and the price is great for such a gorgeous colour!

 

Barry M Lipstick in Pretty Pink £4.49

Pink Lipstick is my favourite and I'm wearing it today! Pink is my favourite colour so it's no surprise that pink lipstick is my favourite lipstick shade. I really hope Barry M lipsticks are good as I've added two to this wishlist! I love the pastel pink shade of pink and it looks like the perfect shade of pink as don't like really pale pink for a lipstick (not nude though).

 

Real Techniques Core Collection £20.99

I've wanted some Real Techniques makeup brushes for ages now because I currently have crappy brushes. To start off my Real Techniques collection, I would go for these ones because they have 4 brushes which are:

• Detailer brush: Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition
• Pointed foundation brush: Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
• Buffing brush: Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation
• Contour brush: Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish

You also get a stand which would be quite handy to store them as I would probably ruin them!

 

MUA Eyeshadow Palette Undressed £4.00

The reason why I want this eye shadow palette from MUA (Make Up Academy; Superdrug's own brand) is because it's a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. If you read my last post (link HERE), you would have read that a Naked palette is on my beauty wishlist but if I couldn't splurge £38.00, I wouldn't mind spending £4 on a dupe.

 

Essie Nail Polish in Mint Candy Apple £7.99

 I've so much about this certain Essie nail polish as this colour is their most famous. There is probably a dupe by Barry M but I would want this one as this is one is quite famous in the beauty world. Mint green is my second favourite colour and I wear mint nail polish all of the time in the spring time.

 

Superdry

Superdry Neon Bag in Pink £10.00

I know this is a beauty wishlist but as this is supposed to be a makeup bag so I thought I would include it here! I've wanted a Superdry makeup bag for ages to use as a pencil case but I've never had the courage to spend £10 on a pencil case. There is quite a selection so there is one for everybody but this one is my favourite because I love pink and I also like purple.

 

MAC

Mac Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum £15.50

That black background is really annoying!

This colour looks so gorgeous. I've seen this on the lips and it's really nice and stands out so you would only a need a basic eye. If I had this lipstick, I would wear this with black outfits so it really stands out and is the main focal point of the look.

Primark Haul!!!

Hi!

Instead of doing My Week In Style, I'm going to be doing a Primark haul as the things I got will be featured in future posts.

You will actually see todays outfit but I won't be going into any detail.

I love all of the things I got and Primark has so much lovely stuff in right now so I would recommend you check out their summer range!!

Lets get started!!!

 

Hoodie £7.00

This hoodie is so nice!!! Primark has a wide range of hoodies in at the moment and they have slogan ones and so many plain ones. I was going to get the mint one but pink is my favourite colour so I had to stay true to myself!

It's really comfy and it will be perfect all year round as it's super soft inside.

I got this in a size 6 and it was £7.00

 

Minion Top £6.00

This top is so nice! I'm a die hard minion fan as they're soooo cute and luckily Primark has so many minion/ Despicable Me tops. If you're not a fan of minions/ Despicable Me, they have plenty of other character tops including Friends, The Simpsons and emojis.

I got this also in a size 6 and it was £6.

 

The cutest top ever £6.00

Jeans- Peacocks
This top is so cute and perfect for lounging about in as it's really baggy. I prefer my tops to be loose as they're more comfy and I love being comfy. The print is so cute and I'm going to have to name the little fella on the top.
I got this top in a size 6 (but it's really baggy) and it was £6.00 again.

Skinny Jeans £10.00

It's really hard to take a picture of jeans on a webcam but they're just your basic black skinny jeans. I really like the ripped jeans trend at the minute but I wanted to get a pair of basic black jeans as they're wardrobe essentials. These jeans would look amazing with everything above (not all at the same time though) and that's why I love black jeans.

These were £10 and a size 6 in the skinny fit.

 

Hair Ties £1.00

Before I got these I only had two hair bands and I usually forgot those. Now I have 30 new ones so if someone needs one in PE I can lend one to them. They're just basic bland ones with a couple of black and white striped ones.

 

My Day

• My aunt, my sister and I went to Lakeside today and that's where I got all of these stuff.
• I wore a mint green top with a camera on, floral jeans and the sandals I always wear.
• I had the best pizza ever in Pizza Hut.
• I also had a Triple Chocolate Muffin in Costa but I didn't eat all of it (the best part the top; I leave it till last.)

OOTD| 26/05/15 +Mini Haul!!!!

Hi Everyone!

I've just got back from Westfield shopping centre in Stratford so I wanted to show you my shopping outfit. I'm actually going out again tomorrow but I don't know what I'm doing- we'll all find out tomorrow!

I done a tiny bit of shopping whist at Westfield (only one thing) but I'm going to share it with you as I'm so excited about it!

I can't believe I haven't shown this jacket before! I wear it all the time in the summer. It's from Peacocks but it's a couple of years old. It really went with todays outfit as my top has a bit of pink in and my sunglasses are pink. It's also really sunny today so I had to add colour!

My top is from Primark and it's one of my favourites. I love tops that are printed as plain ones are boring (but essential!!!). I usually wear this top with these jeggings but I don't know why?!?

My jeggings are amazing and are obviously from Primark. The colour is great and they're so comfy! My only problem is that you need a belt as they keep falling down like London Bridge!!!!

I love my sunglasses so much! I think that shape really suits my face shape as my normal glasses are the 'nerdy shape' and these ones are what I call 'nerdy'.

I haven't used my fake Celine, which I got from Turkey, for ages but I gave it some use today! It's real leather and has so much room; my only problem is that there is no phone pocket so I have to keep it loose.

I won't talk about my shoes as I have before!!!

 

Haul!!!

I only got one thing and that's from Superdry! I got one of their makeup bags/pencil cases and I love it so much and I haven't used it yet!

I got the pink one with purple writing as that is my favourite one they have!

I had a really nice experience in the shop as the woman serving us at the till was so nice!

 

I did look in Primark for anything but I couldn't see anything I liked. I didn't really like the layout and there was loads of people getting in the way.

We had lunch in Pizza Express and I had  bruschetta for starter (garlic bread with tomato, onion and pesto) and a really nice salad for main. Sadly, I couldn't finish my main as I was too full up and I didn't have any room for desert, which is so unlike me as I have the biggest sweet tooth ever!!!

Fashion & Beauty Q&A

Hi everyone,

Today, I will be doing a question and answer session on fashion and beauty.

Before starting I just wanted to add that from now on I won't have a set uploading time; I will be uploading on Monday and Friday but not at a certain time. This is because Blogger hasn't been uploading the post at the time I set, which is so annoying to me and you.

Without further ado, lets get started!

 

If you had to live with only 3 items of makeup for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

1. Mascara because I wear it all of the time when I'm not in school and I love it so much!

2. Lip balm/ Vaseline because I get really chapped/dry lips so I'm always using lip balm.

3. Concealer so I can hide dark circles and nobody will know I'm tired!

 

Craziest thing in your wardrobe? 

Probably my ugly red rainjacket. I got it before I went to Hever Castle with my primary school as we needed a rain jacket and waterproof trousers (#attractive) and it is so ugly. I used to wear it out in public when it was raining but I wouldn't ever wear it in public ever again!

 

 

What are 3 fashion essentials for summer 2015?

1. Kimonos- they were really big last year but they are here to stay and I'm really happy because I love them!

2. Ripped jeans- I don't currently have any but I really want to get a pair before the summer is out. You could DIY but I don't want to ruin my jeans.

3. Statement necklaces- this would be great for any time of the year but I love them so much and they look most gorgeous in the summer.

 

In your opinion, what country/city has the best fashion sense and the worst?
My favourite city for style is LA because it's all bright colours and fun. I personally don't really like London style as it's too grungy for my liking- I'm more a bright colour person.

What products are on your wishlist?
1. Some Mac lipsticks- They seem really good as the reviews are really good and I just want to try them.
2. Real Techniques brushes- I really want some good quality brushes and as all the YouTubers use them, I want to try them.
3. The Naked pallets- Most YouTubers use at least one so I know they're really good and the colours are very wearable.

What's the one essential thing for summer you couldn't live without?
Shorts- I know it's not always sunny but when it is, I love wearing shorts and my favourite ones are denim shorts.

If you could only buy things from one clothes brand and one makeup brand, what would it be?
For clothes shop it would be Primark because there is so much selection and it's really affordable; for makeup brand it would probably be Rimmel as I love a lot of their products and it's also affordable.

What is your favourite fashion or beauty item under £5?
My favourite fashion item is the necklaces from Primark- I know they break but if they break, I don't really mind as they weren't a lot of money.
My beauty item would be the Barry M nail polishes. They're really good and the colour selection is amazing; the price is also great as they're £3.99 each and Superdrug usually do offers!

What is your favourite drugstore product?

Maybelline's Falsies mascara- I love most Maybelline mascaras but this is my favourite one because it really makes my lashes longer and big, which is what I like in a mascara. This one is £7.99 from Superdrug but there is a offer which is 2 for £10 on Maybelline products!

What is the one drugstore product you would recommend to everybody?
The mascara above or Barry M nail polishes because they have a really good formulation, a good colour range and they're really cheap. I don't have the shade below, which is called Cyan Blue, but that's next on my wishlist as I don't have any bright blues in my collection.

What is your staple summer piece?

Sun dresses- I wear them a lot in the summer and my favourite ones are from Primark. I also wear shorts a lot as I don't really like wearing jeans as you get quite sticky. For shoes, it has to be sandals; my favourite ones are either gladiator style or ones with flowers, like my ones below

- Sorry about the state of my bed, I find it hard to keep it tidy as my sister messes it up!

What is your favourite makeup brand?
Rimmel London. I love most of their products that I've tried, they have a great selection of products and colours and they're cheap! Second place goes to Maybelline New York because I love their mascaras, lip balms (Baby Lips) and nail polishes.

What is the most expensive fashion item you've bought?

My fake Celine from Turkey; it was about 50 English pounds (I bought it in Turkey money and it was about 175 Turkish money). As a teenager, I don't really have the money to buy expensive stuff so I make do with Primark, which I don't mind.

The reason why this bag was so much money was because it's real leather and it's quite big. I used this bag all the time in the Autumn/Winter but I haven't used it recently.

OOTD| Bank Holiday Monday

Hi!

Today is Bank Holiday Monday and I'm doing nothing like all bank holidays. Well I am going to be working on my Geography project (picture at the end!) and some DIY projects for my room. I've already done 2 projects and my next one was inspired by MyLifeAsEva.

You probably think I'm too glammed up for a day of doing nothing but it's quite sunny outside (although that will probably change in the afternoon!).

Lets get started!

I really like this outfit even if nobody will see it!

I love playsuits so much and I love this one because I like the colours on the print! It's really comfy and stretchy (mine's a size 6) so it's perfect for a day like today.

I won't be wearing my sandals but they would be what I would wear on my feet if I went out; it's like that with the purse as I would use it as a clutch bag as it has so many pockets!

I really like this casual outfit!

Today was a boring day as I went food shopping and continued with my Kenya project for geography (it's coming along nicely but it's taking ages!).

I love the top I wore today as I love minions so much and I thought I would share my love for them in a top!

I wear these jeggings a lot (but they do get washed!) and you'll probably see them more this week!

I love my sandals from Primark; they are a bit out of the shape when they're not being worn but that doesn't matter!

My sunglasses aren't real Ray-Bans but I love them. They were about £10 and my sister has matching ones but in red!

This or That Tag

Hi everyone,

Today I'm doing another tag and it's the This or That Tag. Most of the questions are fashion and beauty related so it goes with the theme of this blog, which is fashion, beauty and lifestyle and these questions cover all three!

I tag Cerys (as always) and Lucy (who never actually does the tags).

Lets get started!

 

Makeup

Blush or bronzer?

I like both products and I use both but I would say blush as I use it more often.

 

Lipgloss or lipstick?

Lipstick as I'm not the biggest lip gloss fan as it's sticky and you have to keep re-applying it. I love lipstick and I have quite a few as they just add something to your outfit (only if you're wearing a bright colour).

 

Eyeliner or mascara?

I love both but I love mascara so much so I'd have to go for it. Eyeliner can be quite tricky and sometimes I struggle with it. Mascara can also be tricky but I think it's more easier and it makes you look like you are more awake than you are.

 

Foundation or concealer?

Concealer as it can hide a multitude of sins. Foundation is a good product if you don't have the best skin but I would go for concealer anyday to hide any blemishes or cover any under-eye circles.

 

Neutral or colour eye shadow?

Neutral all the way as colour ones usually look like you're stuck in the 1980s. Colour ones can look nice on a night out with simple makeup but for an everyday basis, neutral. And because I like to wear bright lips, I have to go for neutral eyes.

 

Pressed or loose eye shadows?

Pressed because loose ones are really messy so to save time and cleaning, it's got to be pressed!

 

Brushes or sponges?

I've only ever used brushes so I would have to go for that but I've heard that sponges are good for foundation so I would like to try a sponge for face products.

 

 

Nails

Barry M or Rimmel London?

(I changed that question to British brands.) I would go for Barry M as I feel like they have a better colour selection and in Superdrug, I would always go to Barry M for nail varnishes. I do like Rimmel nail varnishes and I have a couple and they're good quality.

 

Long or short?

I like long nails and I'm trying to grow mine as mine always break :( so I currently have short, sadly.

 

Acrylic or natural?

I like both but I would go for acrylic, even though I've never tried them, because I like the look and you can get decorated ones that you can just stick on!

 

Bright or darks?

It has to be bright. I never wear dark nail polish as I love how bright colours pop out and make a statement. Darks are good for Autumn but I never wear nail polish in the Autumn (only at half-term).

 

Nail art or one colour?

Nail art even though I can't do it. I have some nail art brushes from Topshop but I can't remember where I put them so I can't try it out.

 

Body

Perfume or body splash?

I'm a perfume person! I do like body splashes but perfumes last longer and you don't have to use as much each time.

 

Lotion or body butter?

I like both but I would go for lotion as I use it more often (every day). I do really like body butter but I only use it after I've had a bath.

 

Body wash or soap?

I use both but I prefer body wash as I think it's easier and body washes come in better scents!

Lush or any other bath company?
Lush as I love it! I haven't tried any other bath companies that sell bath bombs as I always go for Lush. My favourite bath bomb from them is the Sex Bomb.

Fashion
Jeans or jogging bottoms?
Jeans as I hate jogging bottoms. I never wear jogging bottoms and I haven't for years as when I was young, I decided I hate them and I've worn jeans for years and I'm still loving them (who doesn't like jeans?). My favourite jeans are skinny jeans and I won't wear any other ones.

Long sleeve or short?
I like both but with the tops I have, I prefer short sleeve as I have some gorgeous tops (e.g. my minion top from Primark which is my favourite top ever FYI). I like long sleeves in the winter (obvs) but I think my best feature is my arms so I like showing them off.

Dresses or skirts?
I love both so much! I would say dresses as I always feel more glamorous in a dress, even if it's a casual dress. I do really like skirts and my favourite style are skater skirts BUT you can get skater dresses, which are obviously my favourite.

Stripes or spots?
Stripes as they make you look thinner, no I just prefer stripes but they have to be horizontal. I personally think spots (or polka dots) are a bit childish.

Flip-flops or sandals?
Sandals as you can get some beautiful ones and you can wear them for any occasion. I like flip-flops and I have a really nice pair, which are from Primark, (below) but I would choose sandals.

 



Scarves or hats?
I don't know if this is talking about accessories or winter essentials? I'm going for accessories! I would choose scarves as they're more bright and fun. I like hats (although my Dad thinks they look 'silly') but only big black ones as they can make any outfit stylish.

Studs or dangly earrings?
Studs- I don't wear my earrings anymore but I used to wear studs and never dangly ones. I like the look of dangly earrings but not myself; my favourites are feather ones as they look so gorgeous.

Necklaces or bracelets?
I'm a necklace person as I like wearing things around my neck. I do like wearing bracelets and bangles (I have a lot) but if I could only wear one, I would wear a necklace (preferably a statement one)

Heels or flats?
Flats. As a teenager, I want to be comfy so I always wear flats and it would be strange to see a teenager wear high heels to go shopping.

Cowboy boots or riding boots?
Cowboy boots- I once had a pair and they were my favourite pair of boots EVER. I'm not really a riding boots person.

Jacket or hoodie?
Hoodies as I just love them! I like jackets like denim and leather jackets but I love hoodies so much!

Primark or New Look?
Both have some really nice stuff but I would say Primark is my favourite as I go there all the time as it's bae and the stuff is to everyone; it's also slightly cheaper!

Hair
Curly or straight?
Curly as it's more fun and you can bo-ing it! Sorry Cerys!

Bun or ponytail?
I like both but I prefer buns as they're more formal and there's loads of different ways you can mix it up!

Bobby pins or butterfly clips?
I don't use either.

Long or short?
Even though I've had short hair all my life, long hair is my favourite as you can do so much with it.

Light or dark?
I honestly don't have a favourite as I like all natural hair colours. I also like dip-dyes/ombres but not crazy hair like bright pink.

Up or down?
On me personally down as I hate my hair up- I look a mess but on some people I prefer it up so it depends on the person.

Random
Rain or shine?
The sunshine as I hate rain so much. I'm more happier when it's sunny and you can wear shorts, skirts and dresses!

Summer or winter?
Summer for the above reasons even though my birthday is in the winter (my birthday is 8th December).

Fall or spring?
Spring as you can wear pastels! I just like the spring as you're excited for the summer but I don't like the weather in either (although the weather is usually really nice in September)

Beach or the city?
I'm more of a city person even though I love the sunshine, how random is that?! The only thing I dislike about the city is the business and all of the pollution (gotta save our environment!).

As you might have noticed, I have deleted all of my posts because I wanted a fresh start on my blog and also I didn't think they were good enough.

Let's just pretend all of the before posts were a warm-up and this is the main thing!

This blog will now be featuring on fashion, beauty and lifestyle so I hope you will enjoy it. I will still be posting tags but not as regularly as my posts will mainly be fashion and beauty with lifestyle thrown in.
