ANNOUNCEMENT

Hi,
I started LouiseSprinkles in April (but deleted them posts so it's looks like I started in May) and I always thought that was going to be my main blog. However, the last few weeks I have been doing a lot of thinking and I thought that I should start a new blog, to replace this one, my trial and error one.
So now I've created a new blog The Lipstick Insider. It's going to be the same as LouiseSprinkles but better content. I've planned some really exciting content which is different to what I've posted on here in the past.
You will still be able to come back and read this but I'm kinda going to neglect this blog; I'm going to be based on The Lipstick Insider.
I'm really sorry if I've upset you as it's not a nice thing to see (I'm talking about you LouiseSprinklesFan Nicha).
I talk more over there on the welcome blog post so I recommend you go and read that.
See you over there,
Louise

The Random Post

Hi,
Because I feel like I haven't uploaded in ages, which I haven't, I thought I would do one big, long, random post featuring: A Random Haul, Music Loves, and A Mini Q&A.
I hope you don't find this as the things aren't long enough to do separate blog posts on so I thought I'll mix it all together.
Get comfy and lets get started!!!

First of all I'm going to start with the mini haul. It's only Primark and Tesco as I done most of my shopping at the beginning of the school holidays (COLLECTIVE HAUL HERE). This definitely isn't the most interesting haul as it's pyjamas, toiletries and stationary but I thought you might like to see it.

As you probably know I love minions (like SO MUCH) so I knew I was going to get something Minion-related. I only got this top as there was no suitable Minion bottoms- I'll show you them next. This top is kinda cool as on top (the white half) feels like a polo shirt but the bottom half feels like a jumper. I've been wearing this for the last couple of days and it's really comfy.
This is from Primark and it was £8. I got mine in a size Small (UK 6-8).

These are the bottoms I got for the minion top above. I think they do match a little as they're both black and white. I love the style of these as they're cropped leg so they're like Hareem trousers which I absolutely adore. These also have pockets- I don't know why but I find that so cool however when will you need pockets when sleeping???
Again this is from Primark and it was £6. It's in XS (6-8)

This pyjama jumper is the most cutest thing ever!!! Pugs are my favourite breed of dog and Primark have so many pug-related stuff and pyjamas so I'm a happy pug! I got this one for the winter as sadly summer is drawing in and before we know it the days will get shorted and Strictly will be back on our screens.
This is from Primark and it was £7. Sizing is the same.

I really wanted to get the matching bottoms for the top however they only had them in Medium and Large- they might have had a Small but I couldn't really see as they were so high up! Even though they don't match, it doesn't really matter as no-body will be seeing them. I also love the little bow; I'm a sucker for bows.
This is from Primark and it was £6. Sizing is 6-8.

I love baths (especially bubble baths) as they're just so relaxing and I love watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians in it. I've tried the Along Came Betty bath soak before and it is really good although I did try the peach-y, apricot-y scent.
As you can tell I've already used nearly half the 500ml bottle because I always put too much in. I can report back saying this stuff is absolutely gorgeous and makes loads of bubbles!
This is from Tesco and it was on offer for £1.99 (usual price £3.99)

This is the matching body lotion to the bath soak above and I can say this is also really nice. They are both in the scent Very Berry and although it smells like yoghurt in the packaging, once applied it actually smells really nice. You get so much product with this (500ml) so it's going to last me ages.
This from Tesco and    it was on offer for £1.99 (usual price £3.99).

I'm very lazy when it comes to my hair but to stop it from getting greasy or if I'm finally having a good-hair day, I will use dry shampoo. My favourite brand is Batiste because it's always highly recommended and they have some really nice scents; this one is in Fruity and Cheeky Cherry. I got the 200ml can.
I got mine in Tesco and it was £1.99 on offer.

The last few months I have been loving white nails (which is definitely down to AlishaMarie) and I didn't actually have any so I needed to get some. I chose to get Barry M because they're cheap but really good quality. I have worn it and it was gorgeous- next nail polish I'm getting is a black one!!!
I got mine from Tesco and it was £2.99

Only 2 more things to go!
The last 2 things are stationary. I love stationary- I have way too many pens and it's a problem. I got a new pack of these as I had them before and I had them for over 2 years. Over that period of time I lost 2 and several are starting to fade so I got a new pack. I use these at homes to write things in my blogging notebook.
I got my pack in Tesco and they were on offer for £1.50

I seriously have a problem with Sharpies- I bloody love them! I already have the 24 pack with every colour under the sun (and all of them still work perfectly) but being me I got the pack with all of the essential colours in. These are going to go in my main pencil case for like revising whilst my other ones will be in my bag for special occasions.
Quick Tip- If you want some Sharpies get them from Tesco NOW as all stationary is 1/2 price (the 24 pack is £9).
Mine are from Tesco and they were on offer for £5,

Now I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite songs at the moment. I personally think that there is not many good songs out at the moment so I don't have enough to do a whole post on. I have 3 and lets get started!!

Don't Be So Hard On Yourself- Jess Glynne
This is my favourite song at the moment and I think I know pretty much every word. Jess Glynne is an amazing British singer and I've loved all of her songs- I know her album will be brilliant. This song is so good and it has a really good message, something a lot of popular songs don't have.

Drag Me Down- One Direction
Sadly there's no music video yet so I put above a live performance of the song. To be honest I have never been a fan of One Direction but I really like their new song Drag Me Down- I don't know if I'm going to like their music now Zayn's gone but I like this one. However, I won't be becoming a Directioner any time soon.

New Romantics- Taylor Swift
It was really hard to find this song to put above and I'm not even sure if this one has audio #firstworldproblems. I am a big Taylor Swift fan- she has some amazing songs and her live performances are always out of this world. I really want New Romantics to be released as a single but I don't think that will be happening :(

Now onto the Q&A. I've chosen 7 questions that might reveal something new about!
Lets get started!

1. What's your favourite dessert?
I love any dessert as I have the biggest sweet tooth in the world and I'm not even joking. My top 3 favourites would be cheesecake, ice-cream and cake.
Having said that I really want to put brownies on that list...

2. Favourite pizza topping?
Sorry if I'm making you hungry as I know I am!
My favourite pizza would be a BBQ base with chicken, green pepper, red onion and sweetcorn with a cheesy stuffed crust!

3. What did you do for your last birthday?
I had a meal at Frankie & Benny's and then I went shopping the Saturday afterwards (my birthday was a Monday).

4. What did you want to be when you was younger?I wanted to be a hairdresser but I don't want to now; I have no clue what I want to be when I'm older.

5. How often do you paint your nails?
As we're currently in the summer holidays I have been painting hands and feet once a week and top-ups if my fingernails need them. During school I paint my toes every Sunday.

6. Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr?
I don't use Instagram. I find Tumblr incredibly boring and I love Twitter so much so this question was a no-brainer for me.

7. Do you wear the same clothes twice?
I always wear the same clothes! I don't understand why you would buy something to wear it once and that's something coming from a girl who loves shopping!

I really hope you enjoyed this and if you did let me know
See you soon,
Louise

What's In My Essential Bag?

Hi,
I feel like I haven't been on here a lot recently and truth is, I keep procrastinating and I've had blogger block but I've got some new ideas coming to a screen near you soon!
Today I'm going to be sharing with you what's in my essential bag; the beauty items that I like to have in my bag (if I'm carrying a bigger one) and what I use often.
Lets get started!

My essential bag/makeup bag is the Just Say Yes makeup bag from Zoella's line at Superdrug. It's the perfect size as it can fit everything in. I used to use a beautiful mint one but I don't use that anymore because you can fit brushes into it; it's really big but not big enough for long brushes.
I would also recommend this as a pencil case as I used to use this as my pencil case.
What's inside???

Roll-On
Deodorant is an essential in life as you really don't want to be smelly. I use anyone as they all do the same job. The one I'm currently using is by Vaseline and it's the Vaseline Active Fresh Anti-Perspirant because it was the cheapest brand name in Tesco (I wouldn't really want to be putting Everyday Essential deodorant on).
The point is: Wear deodorant.

Body Spray
I like using Impulse body sprays but anyone will do. I like carrying a body spray around as they're more lightweight than a perfume and they are more fresh in my opinion. The Impulse there is the Romantic Spark and it smells like violet and white wood. This one will run out soon and next I'm going to be using a jelly bean scented one by Superdrug.

Thickening Hairspray
This isn't really an essential but it's something I like to have. I have really thin hair and if I'm having a good hair day, which rarely happens, I like to spray this to keep it in place and give my hair some volume. The best thing about this one is that is smells like candy and reminds me of this sweetshop in Lakeside called Sweets From Heaven.
This one is the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray.

Eyeshadow Compact
I do take this around mainly for the mirror but this compact does have the eyeshadows I mainly wear- I'm not very brave when it comes to eyeshadows. The ones in this quad is a nude, a white, a light orange and a brown. The eyeshadows aren't the best as the brown is not pigmented at all, which is a disappointment. I also carry round a little brush.

Mini Hairbrush
I like to carry round a mini hairbrush as my hair gets messy really quickly. I do like to use my Tangle Teezer but that's always in my bag whereas this always isn't. I have no idea where this hairbrush is from but it's not the prettiest however it's small and does the job well.

Hairbrush Compact
This isn't the best thing in the world as the brush is actually pretty bad but I like to have it as sometimes I don't have the mini hairbrush if I need a little extra room for makeup products. I really like playing with this as I like to pop up the hairbrush- that's my kind of entertainment.

Mirror
Most girls carry round a mirror with them as there is nothing as embarrassing as walking round with food round your mouth or lipstick on your teeth. This one is just your basic pocket mirror but it doesn't matter what mirror you have as they're all the same.

Hand Cream
My hands don't get dry but to prevent them going dry, like to use hand cream. This one is from Miss Cutie Pie and I got it in a hatbox with lots of other products (that I have now finished) one Christmas. I like the hand cream but I hate the packaging as it's inconvenience when you've got creamy hands and trying to do it up if that makes any sense!

Nail File
I hate my nails because they're so weird shaped so I always have to use a nail file to make them look presentable. I have lots of nail files but the one I have in my essential bag is this one I got for free at school when a bunch of collages came in.

Hairbands
I never tie my hair up as it's too thin and I look really bad with it up but I have so many hairbands because I have no where else to keep them so I have about 30 hairband is there. I also like to keep them in there if I have friends who need hairbands because that's what friends are for!

Lip Balm
I got this lip balm from my sister when she got some free from a magazine and it's actually alright, surprisingly. This one smells of coconut and I although I don't love the taste of coconut, I love the smell so much. The only problem with this one is that it leaves the lips white after use so you have to blend it in with your fingers.

Lipstick
This is my favourite lipstick ever! It's by Technic and I got it in the makeup case thing I got for my birthday last year (Review HERE). I love pink lipsticks so I like to have one in my essential bag. This pink is the perfect pink as it's not too sheer but not too bright.

Tinted Lip Balm
This one is the Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro in Strike A Rose and it's amazing. The colour is a little different to the lipstick above but this one's more glossy and hydrates your lips. I love this one as you don't need much for perfect lips and you get so much product for £2.99!

Concealer
This concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer and I have talked quite a lot about it on my blog so I won't bore you. I like to carry around a concealer in case a spot starts to show and if any redness develops. You shouldn't need to carry round a foundation but you should a concealer.

Powder
Powder is a definite thing you should carry round if your foundation starts to melt (if that makes sense) or if you get oily. Most powders do the same thing so there's no point on spending loads of money on one. The one I use is the Technic one as it keeps my makeup in place!
Don't forget your brush!

Nail Polish
This isn't an essential for everyone but I like to keep the nail varnish I'm wearing in my essential bag. The one I'm wearing is the Models Own HyperGel Gel Effect Polish in Cerise Shine. I'm a huge fan of Models Own as there is a variety of colours and they don't chip easily- I've been wearing this for 6 days and it's hardly chipped.

Mascara
Mascara is my most worn makeup product as it makes you look more awake and because I love it. The one I've got is by Wilko and it's actually very good. It's more of a lengthening mascara than making it more voluminous but that's what I prefer as I like the natural look.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'd be suprized if you made it down here.
See you soon,
Louise

New Look Wishlist

Hi,
Today I'm going to be doing a New Look wishlist as I feel like I haven't done a fashion wishlist in ages and New Look is a shop I haven't done before.
When it's autumn/winter I'll be doing more wishlists as there will be new stock; lots of shops are selling their autumn range but it's still summer so we'll wait until September.
Lets get started!

I have recently had a wardrobe makeover and I've realised that I don't have many dresses any more (although I don't wear them often). The couple I have are really bright so it would be good to have a really simple but cute dress and this would be that. Bardot necks have been on trend recently and I think it's really cute as it's 1950's inspired (I love vintage stuff).

I love jumpers with slogans of fun definitions on because they're really casual but cute and something quick to put on if it's cold or you don't know what to wear. This cropped one would look amazing with dark wash or black skinny jeans. You could wear this all year round even though it's cropped because you could layer this and it would still be adorable.

I actually don't have any shirts but I do really like them. I love checked ones because they're really cute and they're the only bit of country clothing I like (country style isn't my taste). This shirt would look really nice with black jeans buttoned up or not buttoned up with a white or black vest top.

I know summer is not over yet but this autumn I will hopefully getting a new winter coat as I've had mine for the last 2 years and the zip is dodgy and I would like to get a parka. They go with everything and I just really like the look of them- and they seem to be really cosy. The faux fur is a cute added extra and makes this coat less boring.

I live in jeans because they're comfy but stylish and everything goes with them but I haven't got a dark wash pair- I have black, jeggings and a pink floral pair- and they're one of my favourites. I see loads of nice tops that would look amazing with a dark wash pair (like the selfie jumper) so I think a pair like this needs to come into my wardrobe.

I love skater skirts so much but strangely, I don't have a black one. If I had one, I would make so many cute outfits all year round with cute tops and shoes. I don't know why I love skater skirts so much- I have a red and a blue and white one and they're super cute and stylish. Can someone get me this???

If you asked me if I liked these last year or before that I would've said that I hated these but since about June-ish, I have actually quite liked them. These would be perfect for lounging about in or for flights as they're super comfy; sometimes it's about comfort not looks, especially on flights and long journeys.

Plimsolls have been on trend recently and I really like that trend, even though plimsolls were what we wore in the infants when we done PE. These ones are far from school ones as schools wouldn't like it if you started wearing snakeskin ones! These ones would look super nice with the navy jeans above, the shirt above unbuttoned and a white vest top.

I hope you enjoyed this wishlist.
See you soon,
Louise

My Thoughts On YouTube

Hi,
Today I'm going to be ranting, which is something I haven't done on this blog before. I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on YouTube and YouTubers because I watch a lot of YouTube and obviously there is things that annoy me.
If you liked this, let me know so I know if I should do more of these.
Lets get started...

Unrelated Videos
On pretty much all YouTube videos I watch, I get the video '11 year old allergic to sunlight' and I know I'm not the only person as loads of people complain about it. I don't watch anything like that so I'm not sure why it's staying in my recommendations. I also get videos in my recommendations such as:
  • 'I Was Almost Kidnapped| Storytime'
  • SUPRISE PREGNANCY ANNOUNCMENT| Our Reactions (How did that get there?!?)
  • 'Foundation Review: L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24hr
  • Keeping Up With The Kardashians (which I have already seen)
It's super annoying and as there is a lot of people complaining, YouTube should definitely sort it out.

Commenters
On lots of YouTubers videos (like PointlessBlog, Zoella, SacconeJolys and lots of popular ones) I always see the same commenters who reply to their own comment to get top comment so they can promote their channels. I get everyone wants to promote their channel but there's other ways of doing it and the comments section is not for promoting, it's for complimenting or giving constructive criticism to the YouTuber.  The ones I always see is Adela, Noa and this Dave guy but I can't remember his surname.
To stop this, these comments should be banned as I hate it.

Adverts In The Middle Of Videos
Okay, YouTubers need to make money but when there's adverts in the middle (sometimes it's not even in the middle), it's really annoying as they're placed in the worst possible places. Usually the YouTuber is telling a story or something good is happening and then an advert plays (usually Netflix and I have strong opinions on that).
To resolve this, YouTube shouldn't have the adverts in the middle of the video as you do get them when you click on the video and have them at the end (when the videos finished).

* Pauses to jam out to Worth It*

YouTubers Bringing Out Books
At first it was ok with Zoella bringing out Girl Online (side note super excited for Girl Online: On Tour which I'll be getting on the day it comes out) but now everyone is doing it. If you want to bring something else, bring out something oringial. Jim Chapman is a good example of this as he didn't want to copy everyone and bring out a book so he released a stationary line. I have a few YouTuber books (Girl Online, The Glam Guide, Love Tanya, Life With A Sprinkle Of Glitter and I Hate MySelfie) but there's so many. I do want to get Girl Online: On Tour and The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire by Dan & Phil.

That's all for today,
I hope you enjoyed this ranting post and leave me some feedback.
See you soon,
Louise

Collective Haul

Hi everyone,
Today I'm going to be doing a BIG collective haul on stuff that I have been buying so far this summer, there might be more so maybe there will be another haul.
You probably have seen some of this stuff before but I deleted my other haul to do a big one, I hope you don't mind.
Lets get started!

This concealer was in my July Favourites post so if you would like my details, read that. This was only £2.99 and I decided to try it after seeing many YouTubers (especially Zoella) rave about it. The hype is defiantly worth it because you get so much for your money. There's 4 shades so there is something for everyone.
This was only £2.99 and it was from Superdrug.

I needed a new body spray as my current impulse will probably run out soon and I saw this one and fell in love with the packaging. Luckily, it smells so good as the scent is Jelly Bean. This is limited edition so if it appeals to you, go to a Superdrug and smell it. The packaging is super cute and really me!
This was 99p and from Superdrug

(I'm actually wearing this top as I write this)
When I walked into H&M with my friend Nicha, I saw this and fell in love. I love basic t-shirts/jerseys that have slogans because they're so relaxed and comfy. This looks amazing with black leggings and that's a really cute but comfy outfit. I also love the slogan as I live for the weekend during school time.
This jersey was only £3 down from £7.99 and it's from H&M. I got it in a XS.

This is going to be my new school bag and I wanted to get it early so I'm not panicking to find a really nice one. This is so similar to the one I just had as it's the complete same design (everything is in the same place) but the only thing that's different is that this one is floral. I recommend backpacks for school bags so you're not carrying lots of things on your arms.
This is from Primark and it was only £8.

(The next few Primark pieces is from another shopping trip)
These jeans are super cute and really summery so I probably won't get much wear from them this year but I will next year. These are skinny fit and look amazing with black or white vest tops. It's quite hard to choose what top to wear with this because the jeans are super bold and statement-y.
These jeans are from Primark and were £5 down from £13. I got these in a size 8 (for length).

I got this after picking up the pink floral jeans as I knew that I wasn't going to have any tops to go with them. Vests go with everything and even though they're a wardrobe essential, I don't really like spending a lot of money on clothes (that's why Primark is bae). This was only £2.30, which is super amazing; I wonder what it would've been in Topshop???
This is from Primark and it was £2.30. I got this in a size 6.

As well as a white one, I wanted a black one to switch it up a little. Also, I can wear it with a lot of other things such as leggings, jeans and skirts. Both of these vests have stretch which is nice even though I don't need it; it's nice to know it's there. Strangely this one was cheaper than the white one even though they're pretty much the same, wonder what that is all about?
This is from Primark and it was £1.80. This is in a size 6.

I hate wearing socks and the only time I do is when I wear trainers or hi-tops (or at school but that's different!) but when I do I want to wear a cute pair even if nobody is going to see them. I really like these ones because they're cute colours and they look distressed, which is cute. The pack comes with a pink, blue and mint pair. I could've got a pack for the same price with more in but I liked these ones.
These are from Primark and were £2.50

Sadly I had to take this back and get a refund but I still wanted to include it as I did really like it. I got this in Westfield Stratford but I took it back in Lakeside but they didn't have it so I couldn't exchange it. The reason why I had to take it back was because I got it in a size too big; I should've got it in a size XS but I got a S which was way too big. I was going to wear it as a casual top but I couldn't because it was SO BIG.
This was from H&M and it was £7.99. I got a S.

I had never been to a Paperchase before last Tuesday but now I love it. They had so many cute notebooks and stationary (even Unicorn stuff!!!) so I definitely will be returning. This notebook is really nice, it has so many pages, a pocket at the back for loose papers and a pen loop. This is going to be my blogging notebook (where I plan blog posts) and also wishlists and inspiration quotes. In case you didn't know, I love stationary so much and I already have loads of notebooks and pens.
This was from Paperchase and it was £6

(This was from a different shopping trip and from a different branch)
I really love handbags and apart from the backpack which is for school, I haven't bought one for a while. I have been loving small-ish shoulder bags and I only have one that fits all of the stuff that I need (I have smaller ones but I have a massive purse). This one is a bucket bag and it's really cute. It has a bit of room and 3 pockets, which I didn't expect, and the colour is beautiful.
This bag is from Primark and it was £8.

These are going to be my new PE trainers but I have been wearing them quite a bit because I really like the trainers trend and they're really comfy. These are quite different as they have a toggle to do them up so that's easier than laces (although I can do them; I'm not 5) but a lot nicer than Velcro. These are from Gola.
These trainers are from Gola at Amazon and I got a size 6 (although I'm a 6.5 but nowhere does half sizes).

Claire's is a shop that I never buy anything from but go in for my sister. However I went in there with her and her bestie Poppy and saw these earphones that are soooo cute. I only really use headphones but sometimes I don't want to use headphones so now I have both for whatever mood I'm in. These are mint (my second favourite colour) and have a very cute floral print which I love.
These are from Claire's and they were £8

My hair doesn't really get oily but to keep that away I wanted to get a dry shampoo. I have heard loads of people rave about Batiste so I knew I could trust it. There was quite a few different ones to get but I got the fruity and cheeky Cherry which is for all hair types and it smells really nice. It also has a really cute packaging. It smells really nice so that's good as who doesn't want nice smelling hair???
I got this from Tesco and it was £1.99 (however it was on offer; I think it's usually £2.99 for the big size I got)

I have tried quite a few things from the Along Came Betty range but not this particular body lotion. This is the Creams Of All Creams Body Lotion in the scent Very Berry; I'm not the biggest fan of the scent as it smells like yoghurts but I'm getting used to it. I like how this one has a pump and squeezing tubes it annoying and closes it is worse. This has loads in as it has 500mls in.

This also is from Along Came Betty and it's in the same scent, the yoghurt scent. I love the colour of the product as it's a beautiful lilac colour. I used this just an hour ago and it made so many bubbles and luckily my bath didn't smell of yoghurt. All of the packaging for the Along Came Betty products is super nice as it's 1950's inspired.
This is from Tesco and it was £1.99

That's it for now.
I have some more posts coming soon and I'm excited for them as I'm going to be doing something a bit different next time!
See you then,
Louise
